Join us Thursday, October 22 for the 10th anniversary of Jumpstart’s Read for the Record®, a global campaign that generates public support for high-quality early learning and highlights the importance of building children’s vocabulary and love for reading.
Children and adults worldwide will take action by participating in the world’s largest shared reading experience. Each year, Jumpstart selects one children’s book as the catalyst for Read for the Record. This year’s campaign book is Not Norman: A Goldfish Story. Written by Kelly Bennett and illustrated by Noah Z. Jones, Not Norman is a humorous tale about a child who finds a new friend in an unexpected place. With vivid illustrations and expressive language, the story is sure to engage children and adults of all ages.
Stop by the library and be a part of the world’s largest reading experience! We’ll have a goldfish-themed storytime, craft and snack. Help set another record for the most people reading the same book on the same day. Visit readfortherecord.org to learn more.
