With the official closure of our Eastgate Branch from Monday, July 29 to December 2024, we understand that many of you will miss your library. We are grateful to the Village of Algonquin for allowing us to serve you at Historic Village Hall in downtown Algonquin.
The library will be at Historic Village Hall, located at 2 S. Main Street, Algonquin on Sundays and Mondays from noon to 3 pm for you to pick up holds, drop off materials, and enjoy a limited selection of items available for checkout.
To pick up your holds on these days, call 847-458-6060 x140 to redirect your items. If you are interested in browsing specific formats or topics, let us know that too, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
During the construction process, Eastgate staff will be stationed at the Main Library. You can visit the Main Library at 2600 Harnish Drive, Algonquin to see some familiar faces for all of your library needs. If you have any questions, please contact us at 847-458-6060.
We’ve included some photos of the Eastgate Branch as it is now. Most materials and furniture have been placed in storage as we prepare for the next phase of construction. We know how much the library means to you, and once the updates are complete, you will be amazed at the transformation.
