See us out in the community this August at the National Night Out events in both Algonquin and Lake in the Hills!
National Night Out is an annual, community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. We’ll be doing face-painting at both events, as well as showing a movie after the Algonquin event!
Algonquin Event – Aug. 6 | 4 – 7 pm • Lions Armstrong Memorial Pool
There will be activities for kids, giveaways, and food! Get your face painted and celebrate the community together.
If you plan on attending the Algonquin event, please bring your library card in order to watch the film.
Flick and Float Movie – Aug. 6 | 8:45 – 10:45 pm • Lions Armstrong Memorial Pool
We will be showing the film Mary Poppins Returns. Sit back, relax in the water, and watch this free film! Movie begins at dusk. Please note: people will be asked to vacate the pool at 7 pm, and it will reopen for this event at 8:45 pm. In order to reenter, you must present your library card or pay the entry fee.
Lake in the Hills Event – Aug. 10 | 11 am – 2 pm • Safety Education Center
At this Community Cookout, you’ll get to take a police station tour, watch a live K-9 demo, meet “PC” the Patrol Car Robot, touch vehicles, experience a simulation, and so much more! Did we mention the free hotdogs?
