In addition to the inestimable human tragedy, the Russian invasion of Ukraine has put the cultural heritage of the country in grave danger. The castles, museums, sculptures, and paintings that are currently being destroyed represent an irreplaceable legacy that is unique to the region and dates back to the Middle Ages.
