We make it easier for high school students to access what they need to succeed! With our Limited Access and Digital Access cards, students ages 14-17 can sign up for their own card on their own time. Just complete an application and provide photo identification with verification of address in the form of a driver’s license, driver’s permit and school ID, or school ID and other address verification. These cards do not require the signature of a parent or legal guardian and will expire when the cardholders turn 18 years old.
Limited Access: This card allows the student to check out and access items from both the digital and physical collection, with a limit of 3 physical items (books, DVDs, games, etc.) charged to the card at any time.
Digital Access: Perfect for the student who wants to use the library 24/7, this card provides access only to digital materials, such as e-books, e-audiobooks, digital music, streaming movies, research databases, learning resources, and other digital sources.
The Library’s resources can help students with their research, college testing preparation, computer skills, and more. On the (free) entertainment side, we have books, DVDs, audiobooks; downloadable books, magazines, and music; as well as streaming movies. Libraries also offer something that no online service can: librarians! Our friendly staff can help students find the information they need and teach them how to select the appropriate resource for their assignments.
