After being closed for nine days of demolition and construction, the Eastgate Branch Library reopened April 23. In addition to fresh paint on the walls and new carpeting, we added a study room and a dedicated computer lab. What's missing? The large, curved services desk was torn out to open up the space and allow more shelving for materials.
Patrons walked in exclaiming "Is this the same library?" "Did you expand the building?" "It looks so nice!" The project is still going strong, so please watch your step as the contractors finish up and expect a little noise as the furnishing and finishes are completed.
