Celebrate the End of Summer Reading!

Don’t miss your chance to celebrate our most successful Summer Reading Program yet! There are still three weeks left to earn some fun prizes, including a T-shirt and a coupon for a free kiddie Kona Ice redeemable only at our End of Summer Reading Party from noon to 3 pm.

This year’s celebration will feature bilingual guitarist Renée Nanzer from 10:30–11:30 am, magic and balloon animals with Jaime Aponte from 1:30–3 pm, and a pirate party from 6–8:30 pm. Lake in the Hills Parks & Recreation will stop by in their REC2U van, and there will even be a special guest appearance by the Algonquin Police! All events are family-friendly and will take place at the Harnish Main Library on Monday, July 31. No registration is required to enjoy the day’s activities.

No registration required. Towne Park is located at 100 Jefferson Street in downtown Algonquin. You never know who will show up at one of our events!

As always, we’re excited to be a part of Algonquin Founders’ Days. The festival opens Thursday, July 20 at Spella Park and runs through Sunday, July 23. Make sure to wave hello when you see us walk by in the parade or visit our booth in the Meijer Kids’ Corner. Nothing makes us happier than meeting our patrons where they are!
