Celebrate Free Comic Book Day at AAPLD on May 4! Stop by the Eastgate Branch and pick up some free comics; or stop by Harnish Main to pick up free comics, do some crafts, try our selfie station, and more. Costumes are strongly encouraged! As well as a free comic book, we’ll have plenty of events for all ages. Free Comic Book Day will last all day during regular business hours, which is 9 am to 5 pm at both locations. League of Enchantment – Members of the cosplay group League of Enchantment will be stopping by Harnish Main. Take a photo with them at our selfie station or find them roaming around!
Cartooning with Mark Anderson: Space Fights! – Cartoonist Mark Anderson will teach you how to draw your favorite Space Fight characters as they battle with laser spots, fly at dark speed, and take on other intergalactic adventures.
Star Wars Themed Drink Set – Make a Star Wars themed drink set of two glasses and coasters using etching cream and our laser cutter. May the 4th be with you!
Superhero Crafting – Stop by and create comic, superhero, and Star Wars themed crafts.
When Worlds Collide: Princess Leia and Spiderman – Princess Leia and Spiderman are joining forces to train a new generation of superheroes and Jedi! Stop by for activities, stories, and a meet & greet.
