The Vegan Museum Exhibit: Now on Display at the Library

Explore the rich history of plant-based living with the Vegan Museum exhibit, now on display at the library through April 3, 2025. This nonprofit traveling exhibit features 12 seven by three foot panels, showcasing key moments in vegetarian and vegan history. Did you know it is the only Vegan Museum in the world?

Learn about the Chicago Vegetarian Society, the Pure Food Lunch Room, Chicago’s first vegetarian restaurant established in 1900, and much more. Discover the impact of famous vegans and even get a taste of some of their favorite recipes.

If you visit the library to see the exhibit or are simply curious, check out the materials on display to dig deeper into the vegan experience.

On Thursday, March 20, from 7 to 8 pm, join us to learn how an optimal vegan diet can help you live longer, lower your risk of heart disease, and protect against memory loss and cancer. This event is for adults ages 18 and up. Reserve your spot today: https://aapld.libnet.info/event/12383913.
