Drawn to the Library – National Library Week April 6-12, 2025

What does it mean to be Drawn to the Library?
That’s the question we’re asking during National Library Week, and every day! Understanding what draws you to the library helps us shape the spaces and services you need. Whether you’re a regular visitor, haven’t stopped by in a while, or are stepping in for the first time, there’s something here for you!

Drawn to the Library - National Library Week 2025Each day, from April 6-12, 2025, we’ll highlight some of the amazing resources available with an AAPLD library card, some familiar, others surprising! Pick up your invitation at the Adult Services Desk at either location, beginning April 6, share what entices you to use the library, and drop your entry into a Drawn to the Library box to enter our drawing (see what we did there?). Know someone who could benefit from a library card? Spread the library love and encourage them to sign up!

Check your AAPLD newsletter for National Library Week programs, stop in for a complimentary edition of National Library Week Mad Libs, and pick up an AAPLD coloring sheet so kids (of all ages) can draw their own vision of the library!

What’s in it for you? Fun activities, crafts, and coloring sheets all week! Plus, everyone who enters will receive a small gift, a chip clip (one per person, while supplies last). Two lucky winners will take home baskets filled with fun library-inspired items and gift cards to explore their artistic side.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you! Stop in and see what inspires you!
