Apply in person at either location to get your library card on the spot! Current residents 18 years of age and older must bring in proper identification (see below). Children up to age 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with proper identification when applying for a card.
Want to start the process online? Check the Library District Map to verify you are a resident of the Algonquin Area Public Library District, then complete the online library card application form. Designate the Harnish Main Library or Eastgate Branch Library as the preferred location for picking up your library card.
Your completed and submitted application will be processed within three business days, and you'll receive an email when your card is ready to be picked up.
