hoopla

Checkout up to 15 titles per month with your library card and a free hoopla account. Every title on hoopla is instantly available - no holds or waiting lists!

Download the hoopla app for your iOS, Android, or Kindle Fire. Desktop users can read in web browsers including Microsoft Edge, and recent versions of Safari (Mac) Google Chrome and Firefox. Hoopla eBooks are not compatible with Kindle Paperwhite or other eReaders that do not allow installation of apps.

hoopla also has a wide selection of comics, trade paperbacks, and graphic novels from well known publishers such as Marvel, DC, Image, and Dark Horse. Additionally, several all-ages friendly titles are available including Big Nate, Garfield, and Minecraft.

Libby

Check out and download up to 15 titles at a time from Libby. Find new and bestselling titles and authors from all the major publishers. Titles circulate for 14 days and may be renewed if no one is waiting. If the book you want is already checked out, place a hold, and you will be notified when it is available to checkout.

This collection is compatible with multiple devices and apps including the following:

Kindle Devices and Apps - Most Libby ebooks are available in Kindle format. Use a web browser or the Libby app on your smartphone to checkout Kindle titles from the Libby web site. You will be prompted to use your existing Amazon account to deliver Kindle ebooks to your device.

Boundless allows you to check out and download up to 5 titles at a time. Find new and bestselling titles and authors from all the major publishers. Titles circulate for 14 days and may be renewed if no one is waiting. If the book you want is already checked out, place a hold, and you will be notified when it is available to checkout.

The Boundless app lets you read and listen to digital content with a single tap; place items on hold and see at a glance where you are in line; and add digital content to your wish list for later check out. The app is available on all major platforms.

The Indie Illinois collection includes fiction and non-fiction ebooks published independently by Illinois authors. Indie Author Project Select is a curated collection of independently-published ebooks by authors from across the United States.

Tumble Book Library

Enjoy storytime on your own time! The TumbleBooks Library is an online collection of animated, talking picture books. Books are available in English as well as in Spanish and Russian. Puzzles and games associated with many of the books are also available!
